4 years.

We went to Traverse City Michigan for our 4 year anniversary. We went out to eat the first night at a micro- brewery called North Point. Our waiter was a Christian rapper, whew woulda thunk?? He did some rhymes for us- sweet! His words were rich with God's truth; it was an inspiring surprise to be blessed by our christian rapper waiter friend.

Day 2 we went out for a yummy lunch at Traverse City Pie Company. YUM. I got Cherry w/ Crumble Crust and Jeff got Strawberry and Rhubarb with Crumble Crust. This region of Michigan is speckled with wineries. We drove by 7 of them and stopped at one for a wine tasting.

Vineyards everywhere!

Oh yeah, I forgot to explain "lumpy". When Jeff was a middle-schooler, his family came here on vacation with his cousins. The 6 boy cousins assigned "lumpy" as the theme word for the trip. They thought it was HILARIOUS. They wrote "lumpy" right here on the sand in the same spot that my 29 yr old husband recreated it on our anniversary trip =) I really did think it was amusing!

Only picture we had together =/ It was bright!

Day 3 we went to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We did a 3.5 mile hike to Lake Michigan on the dunes. The landscape was other-wordly. Very beautiful. Then we thought it would be fun to challenge ourselves and descend and then ascend a 450 ft. STEEP dune. Shew!

In summary, it was a lovely little getaway that consisted of quality time, yummy food, and beautiful nature.
