Weeks 3 and 4, Emo tans and tie-dye

After making the ump-teen hour trip from New Hampshire, we arrive at SpringHill Camp in Evart MI. Which as you can see below, has elected itself the "Land of the Free" or so says this 12 dollar t-shirt from the local Evart grocery.....

The guys have been coming to SpringHill as a band for 4 summers now, so they know the ropes pretty well. They play 2 or 3 times a day and hang out with campers in-between. Jeff and I both try and find activities that make us happy while at camps. The simple pleasure of a great pizza buffet helps to keep him a happy man.
I successfully tie-dyed two shirts- which made me happy. (the one i am wearing was NOT my masterpiece)
We found this sidewalk art at the camp one day- hilarious! It is a faceless portrait of Jeff that some middle-schooler (girl, no doubt) drew. It also read on the walk, "Which member of Attaboy is this?" haha, we thought this was funny.
We took a sunset stroll around camp one night that ended up as a photo shoot.

During the weekend in between camps, we went to Ludington, MI to enjoy Lake Michigan. It was a beautiful day and we walked the beach for hours. We noticed sometime the next day and that Jeff had gotten a little red, which was nothing out of the normal. But take a closer look and you will see the outline of how Jeff's hair was laying (in an emo sort of way) on his forehead!!

Even though we have both done the zip-line a dozen times, we still harness up and put on a smile in order to spend some time with some campers. The camp activities in themselves have definitely lost their luster, so it is really a matter of being intentional with the time we are given.
Next stop little Brother's wedding!
